Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved.

The implants are tiny titanium posts which are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration which occurs when teeth are missing.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh, and enjoy life.

Evaluation for Dental Implants

If, like many others, you feel implant dentistry is the choice for you, we invite you to undergo a dental/radiographic examination and health history at Smile Arc Dental Group. During these consultation visits, your specific needs and considerations will be addressed by our experienced team, led by either one of our skilled dentists or by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon referred by our practice.

Your questions and concerns are important to us, and our team will work closely with you to ensure the success of your procedure. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities.

At Smile Arc Dental Group, we offer dental implants, which serve as metal anchors, acting as substitutes for tooth roots, and are surgically placed into the jawbone. Small posts are then attached to the implants, protruding through the gums, providing stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

For most patients, our dental implant procedure involves two surgical procedures. Initially, implants are positioned within the jawbone. During the first three to six months post-surgery, the implants remain beneath the gum surface, gradually bonding with the jawbone. We provide temporary dentures for this period, allowing you to maintain function while your implants integrate. Simultaneously, our restorative dentists design the final bridgework or denture, aiming to enhance both function and aesthetics.

Following the bonding of the implant to the jawbone, the second phase commences at Smile Arc Dental Group. Our surgeons uncover the implants and attach a small healing collar. Subsequently, our experienced dentists begin fabricating your new teeth. An impression is taken, and posts or attachments are connected to the implants.

Replacement teeth are then crafted over the posts or attachments. The entire procedure typically spans six to eight months, and most patients undergo the process without significant disruption to their daily lives. We prioritize your comfort and satisfaction throughout the entire journey with us.
