Dr. Sam Votto is a highly skilled, board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to delivering exceptional care with compassion and precision. He specializes in wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting techniques, benign pathology, and sedation, ensuring patients receive the highest level of comfort and expertise.
As an officer in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Votto has served as the sole oral surgeon aboard the USS Carl Vinson during deployment, providing critical care to service members in challenging environments. He is currently stationed at Marine Corps Camp Pendleton.
Education and Training
Dr. Votto’s journey to excellence began with a strong educational foundation:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Furman University.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
- Completed a rigorous four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
During his residency, Dr. Votto gained extensive experience in:
- Facial trauma treatment.
- Dentoalveolar surgery.
- TMJ and orthognathic surgery.
- Anesthesia for surgical procedures.

Outside the practice, Dr. Votto enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their dog, traveling the world, cooking, and running. An avid marathon runner, he has proudly completed the Boston and Chicago marathons, showcasing his passion for endurance and commitment.
